Hello RW Designer fans, Just passing by and saying hi. It's been a while since I've visited the site. I'm happy to see that the Tron II cursors I made have consistently remained on the "Most Popular Icons an Cursors of <Month>" listing pretty much since the time they were uploaded over 8 years ago. I think that speaks to their quality and usability. Well ...
5 ★ 5 stars from me. This set has a simple, but enjoyable theme. The theme is well developed over the various cursors, with none of them feeling out of place when compared with the others. The animations are simple, and do not distract from the functionality of the cursor itself. All 15 cursor roles are present, with a few "bonus" cursors for additional cont...
Unfortunately, I can't determine how to upload an animation, but I was able to assemble a rough proof-of-concept which basically works as follows. 1. Create your full donut shape on the canvas. 2. Create a series of layer effects - drop shadows with diagonal offsets. Each additional drop shadow effect should be offset a little more and should be slightly lighter than...
Hi Anonymous, If you put your downloaded cursors into the C:\Windows\Cursors folder, then that issue should stop happening. Also, please note that it is difficult to respond to you effectively if you don't have a website login. We have no way to contact you when you post comments as anonymous. We have to just hope that you check this post again to see the response. A...
Aaaauggh! It's the Ask toolbar!! (Sorry, it's an IT thing. That's not social media - that's annoying junk software that installs itself on your computer along with Java updates and the like.) It's worth noting too that grooveshark no longer exists. They were sued and lost for basically infringing on the rights of recording studios and offering music for free or s...
No problem, not taken personally.
This is my portfolio. No such thing there, never has been, and never will. user-art/14944
I have not taken the time to create a custom avatar is all. I am no longer as active on the site as I used to be. As far as the "mature content" set, I have no such sets and would be offended to have one in my own portfolio. Which set is questionable to you? There are some out there, but none of them are mine.
Hi J, Just so you know, although the site may demo them with the wrong speed, they will play with the correct speed once downloaded. They are converted to animated PNG files for the site previews if I'm correct, but the downloaded cursor files are the same ones that you uploaded. Thank you, JDDellGuy Nice work too, BTW, this is a pretty decently designed set.
Hi J, thanks for the review. The metallic frame is pretty much the same as in the tutorial with the exception that it is a square instead of a circle. The green background is just a simple plain green background. The shine is two separate layers. One is a vertical linear gradient from a mostly transparent white to completely transparent. The other is a diagonal line...

Green Chrome Icon Set

A set of green icons with a chrome frame that I designed for someone that needed some custom icons. Not terribly creative, the metallic frame has come to be a frequent feature of mine and is relative...
They are supposed to resemble the Windows 7 Aero theme.
0.5 ★ Not your own set. It seems you have only created another account under which to post these.
0.5 ★ These are not your own cursors. And you have simply created a second account it seems. http://theblueguy07.deviantart.com/art/DIM-372932491
5 ★ 5 Stars! I love the design, hits all of the good quality points. Not too "loud," animations are well thought out and not distracting, graphics quality is very good, all 15 cursor roles are present, and it has uniformity throughout the set in both color and theme. I do think the "Unavailable" cursor looks slightly out of uniformity; it has a more beveled look th...
This is a link to a tutorial that I made showing how to do this. metallic-ring-tutorial
3 ★ As a first set, not bad. I like the unified theme, and the animations are well suited to it. I see the creative spark is present here, particularuly in the hand shaped banana for "Link Select." You also made good effort for each cursor to fit its role well as far as its shape and arrangement of the bananas. It does have a very hand-drawn feel to it, which isn...
3.5 ★ Nice work, appreciate the reference to my own set. The style is unique, and contains definite elements that refer to the Tron theme. "Help" looks more like it has the letter P, rather than a question mark. "Busy's" animation and style dont quote feel like they fit as well as the rest of the set, could jsut be personal opinion on my part though. I think it w...
I have to say, I'm never a fan of seeing another artist's work posted under someone else's name, even if it's good work. I understand that you state they came from the Internet, but there are a few guidelines when doing so. 1.) You should check to make sure that their material is released under the public domain license. 2.) You should get permission from the origina...
4 ★ They are well done. Animations are smooth and not distracting. The cursors are not gaudy or poorly drawn. However, I leave off a star because the animation for "MetaBlue busy" does not match your theme as well. All of the other cursors are pulsing with lights and this one instead has a radar sweep-type animation within it. My suggestion is to change the "Norm...
